In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
